A Struggling Educator
I assumed that living and educating in California would help me move higher up in my status as an educator. I mean, there was a lot of schools, so more opportunities, right? Nope, wrong. More schools and children, yet a lack of support from the government financially and any means to establishing a better education for our children. I've been substituting in classrooms with teachers who don't even put their all in it, but rather settle for the minimum and get paid. Why does getting a teaching position need to be a battle? Every interview there's 2o plus candidates fighting for mere educational position that considers them over-qualified. We shouldn't have to plant our selves in the ground, when we have worked fiercely to plant our seed in nourishing our way to the top... We are better than that, so the next time you walk in for a position that places you to be over qualified you look at that Committee and say, "You Need Me!"
