I have gone through so many phases and stages in my life that has presented me with so many experiences in trials and opportunities. I have recently experienced myself involved in managing and campaigning for My Father's Campaign for the 2011 Samoa Palota (Elections) for the 15th Parliament. I was never involved or wanted to be associated in Politics, because I stereotyped it as "just depressing." Maybe it was my laziness not to get involved with the Leadership of Our Government, because I wasn't seeing any positive changes happening, rather a consistency of strife with the people. I simply chose not to Vote, because of aggression towards the government, yet later learned that this attitude was not going to solve anything. Assisting my Father in his Campaign was the beginning of my "Drive" to Make a Difference for My Country of Samoa and the People, especially the "Innocent," which are, the Children. I can reflect on so many times in my life I had family and friends move to Hawai'i and the Mainland to further their education, yet they constantly struggled with the transition of education from back home (Samoa and American Samoa) to America. After graduating from BYU-Hawaii in 2002, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and minor in Polynesian Studies, I became more educated in the Education System. I have taught in Waimanalo, Hawaii at Blanche Pope Elementary for 7 years, and currently teaching here in California, both Southern and Northern. I am also attending Grand Canyon University, in pursuit of my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology. I strive to further my education with great purpose and meaning, all towards my students, and now My Country of Samoa and the educators all around the South Pacific Rim.
I have started a wikispaces (msutai@wikispaces.com) and now a facebook page called Polynesian Educators, geared towards communicating with all educators about the education of our Youth, in preparing them to be lifelong successful learners, and continue this lifeline of Service. I'm now 30, and beginning this Dream, it seems late, but better late than never. All these beginning stages have been technological, and I realize that technology is not easily accessible in the Islands of Samoa. Therefore, I'm still strategizing to get our Coconut Express going around the World. I know Who I am and I know Where I Came From, so I want to give back to these places and people who shaped me <3

WEAVING TOGETHER OUR POLYNESIAN EDUCATORS... As Polynesians, we were raised with Honoring Our Father in Heaven, Families, and Culture. As Educators, we teach are students countless lessons for them to achieve success in becoming a "Life Long Learner." We weave together these Essentials of a Polynesian and Educator, and become Dynamic for Our Country, People, and Children.
